"There's no reason to be sad if you know how loved you are," is how Margot Robbie characterized her absence from the Oscar nominations lists for 2023. The actress, who played the role of Barbie doll in the movie of the same name, hastened to reassure fans, speaking at a special screening under the auspices of the U.S. Screen Actors Guild.

Not only was Robbie beaten out by an Oscar nomination in the Best Actress category, but also director Greta Gerwig, who directed "Barbie." The movie grossed over a billion dollars at the box office, becoming according to both audiences and critics the discovery of last year. Ignoring the creators of the box-office hit even nominated for the "Oscar" by the American Film Academy, according to many, was an egregious case in the history of the award.

Nevertheless, at the special screening, Margot expressed delight that "Barbie" managed to get eight Oscar nominations. Among them is Robbie's partner Ryan Gosling, who is up for the prestigious award in the Best Supporting Actor category.
