Warner Bros. moved the premiere of "Wonka" to December 2023

New footage from the upcoming musical starring Timothy Chalamet was shown at ComicCon in Las Vegas.

The musical fantasy film "Wonka" which is a prequel to Roald Daly's novel "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" will be released on December 15, 2023, the film studio announced.

ComicCon attendees saw several scenes of the 26-year-old actor singing and dancing as the "sweet" wizard in a short video montage. According to THR, at the beginning of the clip, Wonka asks the audience: "Is everyone ready?" and then starts tap-dancing on the table. Schalame's colleagues Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Keegan-Michael Key and Olivia Colman are also in the frame, as well as the golden ticket. "It's not the chocolate that matters," Wonka reads at the end of the video on the candy wrapper. "It's the people you share it with."

Chalamet was spotted on the set of a new musical in February in the UK. And fans could get their first impression of his character in October 2021, when the actor shared a photo "in character" on social media.
