Tim Burton to Direct 'Attack of the 50 Foot Woman' Remake

Director Tim Burton and writer Gillian Flynn will team up on Attack of the 50 Foot Woman for Warner Bros.

The film will be based on a story already told in the 1958 film starring Alisson Hayes, William Hudson and Yvette Vickers. The plot follows a wealthy heiress who grows into a giant after meeting aliens who help her take revenge on her unfaithful husband.

It's unclear how close Burton and Flynn's film will be to the original, but it will definitely have a larger budget. Filming 65 years ago cost only $88 thousand.
