Anya Taylor-Joy at the premiere of Furiosa: The Mad Max Chronicles

Anya Taylor-Joy took her style to the next level while promoting the sci-fi action film Furiosa: The Mad Max Chronicles in Sydney, Australia. Together with stylist Ryan Hastings, the Golden Globe winner chose a headpiece and dress with arrows for her appearance on the evening's carpet. As it turned out, they were first presented on the catwalk by the French brand Paco Rabanne in the spring haute couture collection of 1996.

The semi-sheer minidress consisted of copper triangles and silver discs, enveloping Taylor-Joy like a long chain. The same materials were repeated in the star-shaped headdress. Arrows stuck out of it like sunrays, and the same thing was observed on the skirt of the dress. The egg-shaped balls crowning the arrows contained precious stones. This forced the actress to give up jewelry and wear minimalist shoes - transparent mules. Overall, the entire look was meant to embody Furiosa's fearless nature.

However, dedication to character and art made Anya's participation in the event somewhat difficult. Her co-star Chris Hemsworth smiled and tried to stay away from the actress so as not to be pierced by one of her arrows.

This is not the first time Taylor-Joy has demonstrated her love for metallic decor in her outfits. So, in March, she appeared at the Vanity Fair party in a black minidress and a silver “bonnet” that echoed the similar trim on the shoulders. And in April, she attended the ComicCon 2024 film festival in Las Vegas wearing an original minidress made of leather belts with studs.

In the film Furiosa: The Mad Max Chronicles, the actress played a warrior who ended up in Immortan Joe's stronghold. To return home, she will have to face many challenges, which she will overcome with honor. The fantastic action film will be released in cinemas on May 15th.
