After 26 years, the Owens women are back. Warner Bros. has announced the filming of a sequel to the 1998 classic “Practical Magic”. And the main roles in it will again perform Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock.

The plot of the original picture followed the sisters Gillian (Kidman) and Sally (Bullock), forced to use psychic abilities after the murder of an aggressive ex-boyfriend of one of them. Directed then by Griffin Dunne, the script was based on Alice Hoffman's 1995 novel of the same name. And although the film did not get a lot of money at the box office, it became a favorite for many fans of fantasy with elements of a romantic story.

About the new picture it is known that her script will be written by Akiva Goldsman (“King Arthur: Legend of the Sword”, “Inflaming Glance”, etc.). Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock will not only perform the main roles, but also act as producers. Details of the plot are still kept secret, as well as the name of the director, as well as the performers of minor roles. In 2019, HBO Max planned to film a TV series, a spin-off of “Practical Magic,” based on Hoffman's earlier work, “Rules of Magic.” But the project was given a long shelf life, leaving fans baffled.
