Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche to appear in "The Return"

The stars of "The English Patient" (1996) will meet again on the set. Let me remind you, this war drama brought Fiennes a nomination and Binoche an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Earlier they also starred in the drama "Wuthering Heights" (1992). A new picture with their participation "The Return" will be staged by Italian Uberto Pasolini from the script by John Colli and Edward Bond.

The film's synopsis reads, "After 20 years of absence, Odysseus (Fiennes) is nailed to the shores of Ithaca, exhausted and unrecognizable. The king has finally returned home, but a lot has changed on the island since he went to the Trojan War. His beloved wife (Binoche) is a prisoner in her own home, forced by her many admirers to choose a new husband and thus king. And their son Telemachus, who has grown up without a father, faces death at the hands of suitors who regard him as an obstacle to their goal.

Odysseus has also changed. War experience and age no longer allow him to be as strong a warrior as he once was. But he turns to face the past to find the strength to keep his family together and to regain the love he lost."
