Justin Lin left "Fast and the Furious 10" because of Vin Diesel

The reason was the "problematic behavior" of the 54-year-old actor on the set.

Last week, director Justin Lin made a shocking decision to leave the filming of the tenth part of the "Fast and the Furious". To such a development, as it turned out, led to the unprofessional attitude to his duties on the site of the main star of the project Vin Diesel.

Lin left the director's chair in less than two weeks after the start of production pictures. That forced producers at Universal Studios to take pause to urgently find a replacement director with an estimated salary of $600,000 to $1 million a day.

According to the New York Daily News, Justin just got fed up with Diesel's "difficult" behavior. "I've never seen anything like it, Lin turning down huge amounts of money. Vin is late to work, doesn't know the lyrics," noted a source close to the filming of the picture. "And importantly, is not at his best shape."

Diesel must have really pissed Lin off, since the latter turned down an impressive "$10 or $20 million" salary by quitting the franchise. Moreover, he was supposed to shoot an eleventh after the tenth Fast and Furious, which would be the final installment in a long-running and thriving film series. Now, however, it seems that this work for Justin is in great doubt. The sudden end of his cooperation with the "Fast and the Furious", the more sad that he managed to make five films, including the revived the franchise fifth "Fast and the Furious" (2011) and the ninth, released last year.

I should note that this is not the first time Diesel's working relationship has impacted a project. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson publicly refused to return to the main series after the eighth film because of a disagreement with a project veteran, instead starring in the spin-off "Fast and the Furious: Hobbs and Shaw" (2019) with Jason Statham. And most recently, Johnson closed all possible avenues of reconciliation with Vin, calling his request to return to work on the tenth picture a "manipulation." Earlier in his defense, Diesel stated that he deliberately provoked Dwayne on set in order to make him play to his full potential.

As for Justin Lin's departure from "Fast and Furious," a Daily News source noted that "No one blames Vin for what happened, but everyone knows him well."
