Jen Psaki reveals what was hardest part of her job at White House

A 43-year-old member of the U.S. President's Office has resigned her position due to her transition to a new job.

Jen Psaki admitted that the hardest thing for her as White House press secretary was not the daily bickering with reporters, but the constant threats against her. "I received threats, nasty letters, messages with my personal addresses and the names of my children," she said at a farewell breakfast with reporters from leading American media outlets. "It's crossing the line, and you know, it makes you scared."

Threats to officials at various levels, from members of Congress and state governors to school board members and health care workers, have increased over the past two years in the United States. Some experts believe that "writing bullying" could even jeopardize this year's midterm elections.

On several occasions, Psaki has gone to the Secret Service and reported threats. She has two children, ages six and four. "Their safety is of serious concern to me," the now former press secretary reported. It remains unknown where "fiery Jen" will now work, but it is reported that she has been in talks about a possible partnership with MSNBC.

Her place in the White House will be taken for the first time by an African-American, dark-skinned Karin Jean-Pierre.
