Argentina plans to issue a banknote with a portrait of Lionel Messi

To celebrate the happy occasion, the bankers have already included in the plans the issuance of a commemorative 1000 peso banknote. The choice fell on this number because it starts with "10". Namely, this number is placed on Messi's jersey when he plays for the Argentina national team.

The network also got a sketch of a new banknote. On one side there is a portrait of Messi looking into the distance, and on the other side there is a frame from the national team and the inscription "La Scaloneta". The term has stuck with the team since Lionel Scaloni took over in 2018. Under his leadership, Argentina won the 2021 Copa América and now the FIFA World Cup.
