A representative of Belarus will go to the ISS in 2023
All six contenders of the republic for a flight into space have passed the medical examination and are ready to fly.
Vladimir Gusakov, chairman of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and a member of the presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, said that all six Belarusian women received the right to space flights after passing a medical examination.
It is expected that the flight of a female cosmonaut from Belarus to the International Space Station will take place in the fall, "if nothing changes."
"If nothing changes, then in the autumn our cosmonaut should fly to the International Space Station," Gusakov said during a press conference.
Among the contenders are Belavia flight attendants Marina Vasilevskaya and Victoria Fidrus, state forensic expert Daria Mikhnyuk (Brest region), obstetrician-gynecologist Olga Gerasimova (Baranovichi); pediatric surgeon from the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Surgery Anastasia Lenkova and junior researcher at the Institute of Physical and Organic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences Olga Mastitskaya.
Earlier it became known that the Russian members of the ISS crew managed to 3D print a bracket for mounting the camera
This is the first working part - previously there were only trial ones.
