Lloyd Morrisett dies in US
One of the creators of "Sesame Street" has died at the age of 94.
Sesame Street co-creator Lloyd Morrisett has died. The creator of the children's show idea is 93 years old, Sesame Workshop has announced.
Morrisett was born in Oklahoma City in 1929. A teacher with a background in psychology, he was always on the lookout for new teaching methods, especially for children from families with no education.
He co-founded the non-profit organization Children's Television Workshop with Gantz Cooney in 1968, later renamed the Sesame Workshop. In 1969, the duo created Sesame Street, the American original of Sesame Street.
Earlier it became known that the group Panic! At The Disco announced the end of musical activity. Before the breakup, the band will make a farewell tour.
