According to data provided by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, a major earthquake of magnitude 5.3 has been registered in central Turkey. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 58 kilometers to the north-west of Adyaman city. The earthquake origin was located at a depth of one kilometer.

Earlier news emerged that after the earthquake in Iskenderun in Turkey, the sea level rose, roads were flooded, and residents and workers were evacuated after the rise in sea level.

"Due to earthquakes of magnitudes 7.7 and 7.6 affecting ten provinces, the sea level rose in Iskenderun in Hatay," NTV reported.
