British woman set the world record, crossing the Atlantic Ocean in 40 days

She made it from the Canary Islands to Barbados on oars.

British woman Victoria Evans has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest crossing of the Atlantic Ocean by herself on oars.

She crossed ocean between Tenerife, Spain, and Port St. Charles, Barbados, in 40 days, 21 hours and 1 minute, reports United Press International.

Evans crossed the Atlantic nine days faster than the previous record holder, her compatriot Kiko Matthews.
