Elon Musk wants to build his own city in Texas

Billionaire Elon Musk, owner of SpaceX and Twitter, plans to build his own city in an area near Texas in the United States.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the city will be built in Bastrop County, which is located near the city of Austin.

Musk City will develop next to the Boring Co and SpaceX facilities already under construction. Thus, the employees of his companies will move into new houses with below-market rents.

Texas law requires at least 201 people to live in the area before an application can be made for the area to be considered a city. Once this condition is met, the district judge's approval can be obtained.

A statement from a Bastrop County official noted that no requests had yet been received from Musk or any organization owned by him.
