Ebeko volcano in the Kuril Islands threw out ash
The volcano is one of the most active on the Great Kuril Ridge.
Ebeko volcano in the Sakhalin region threw ash to a height of three kilometers above sea level. The volcanic plume spread more than five kilometers eastward.
According to EDDS, there was no ash fall in Severo-Kurilsk and no hydrogen sulfide odor was detected. There is no danger to the lives of local residents.
Ebeko is an active volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the Great Kuril Ridge at a height of 1156 meters. It is located 7 kilometers from Severo-Kurilsk on the Paramushir island.
