Joe Biden intends to run for president of the United States in 2024
At the same time, the current U.S. leader is not yet ready to announce it.
U.S. President Joe Biden said Monday, April 10, that he plans to run for president in the 2024 election, but is not yet ready to announce it.
"I plan to run, but we're not ready to announce it yet," Biden said during an interview on NBC's "Today" television program.
Biden has said he intends to be the Democratic nominee in 2024, but has not made a formal announcement. Both Biden and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris have said they will run together.
Polls show that 41% of Americans approve of Joe Biden's performance as president, while 65% think the United States is moving in the wrong direction.
