A film was made about the Mercedes-Benz AMG One hypercar

Mercedes-Benz has created a film dedicated to the history of the creation of the AMG One hypercar, which was presented in 2023. The film, titled "Project One: A Milestone in Automotive History," was produced by Cutting Edge Productions and chronicles Mercedes-AMG's journey to create a unique car that combined Formula 1 technology with the capabilities of a street-legal car.

The idea of creating the Mercedes-AMG One arose in 2015, and the project became a serious challenge for Mercedes-AMG engineers and managers. While working on the car, the team encountered numerous difficulties, delays, and tension within the team. Despite all the difficulties, the hypercar was released into production, and all 275 planned copies were quickly sold out.

The film features interviews with leading figures from the automotive industry, including seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton and former driver David Coulthard, as well as FIA President Mohammed bin Sulayem and executives from Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG. The film promises to be an honest and unvarnished story of one of the most complex projects in the automotive industry.
