Qatar lifts mandatory quarantine for unvaccinated tourists from coronavirus

Travelers without vaccination should carry a PCR test for kovid, made no earlier than 48 hours before the flight.

As of September 4, Qatar has abolished the mandatory quarantine for arriving foreign tourists who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus. This was announced by the country's Ministry of Health.

"Quarantine is no longer mandatory for all travelers arriving from abroad, except for those who are diagnosed with coronavirus after arriving in Qatar," the ministry commented.

Despite this, unvaccinated tourists still need to carry a negative PCR test done no earlier than 48 hours before flight departure. The PCR can be substituted for the antigen test, but it is only valid for 24 hours.

To enter Qatar, all travelers also need to download the Ehteraz app on their phone (it must be activated after entering the country). In addition, prior to travel, tourists need to register on the website to download test results or vaccination certificates.

By the way, the Russian vaccine Sputnik V is approved in Qatar.
