Elon Musk postponed Twitter deal for Vladimir Putin's holiday speech

The words of the Russian leader seemed to the American businessman to be more important than commercial documents.

Today, the American entrepreneur's Twitter deal has reached a deadlock and will have to be settled in court.

But, as it turns out thanks to the publications of Western tabloids, this deal initially interested Musk only partially.

According to the publication Business Insider, May 9 this year, the businessman had to sign a number of important papers with representatives of the social network to further support the deal.

But just the day before, on May 8, Musk wrote to the Morgan Stanley banker who handled the deal that he would be busy on May 9 because he wanted to hear Vladimir Putin's speech at the Victory Day celebration in Moscow.

"Let's slow down a little bit. Putin's speech tomorrow is really important. What's the point of buying Twitter if we're approaching World War III," the entrepreneur told his banker.
