Britain's new king will rule under the name of Charles III

After the death of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, her eldest son Charles will take the throne.

Prince Charles of Wales, the eldest son of British Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September 8, 2022, will become the new monarch of the United Kingdom. He will rule under the name Charles III, TASS reported, citing British Prime Minister Liz Truss.

"Today the crown passes to our new monarch, His Majesty King Charles III," she said, adding that the death of the British queen shocked the nation and the world.
