Some dog breeds are considered dangerous, given the impulsiveness of their members and/or the strength of their jaws, as they are prone to sudden attacks with serious consequences. While many factors can influence a dog's behavior, most notably upbringing, we will list five dog breeds recognized as dangerous.

1- The American Pit Bull Terrier.

In the United States, the breed has been recognized and popularized as early as 1898. Originally bred from a cross between a terrier and a bulldog, the pit bull was intended to hunt predators (cougars, semi-wild dogs) that threatened cattle and hogs. Later it was used for dog fighting and brought into arenas to fight bulls.

It arrived in Europe in the early 20th century and has been domesticated since the 1950s. The pit bull can grow up to 50 cm at the withers with a maximum weight of 30 kg. Its body is short and muscular. Very intelligent, the pit bull requires a firm upbringing. Since 1999, the pit bull has been categorized as a Category 1 dangerous dog.

The pit bull has no specific behavior: the training and education it receives will have a complete impact on its adult life. He can be friendly and reserved, but if not properly trained, this breed is prone to aggression, whether friendly, reserved or reactive in temperament.

With proper training and socialization, starting from puppies, they can get along very well with children and coexist peacefully with other animals, otherwise, this breed is prone to aggression.

2. Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

This is a dog with an active character, with a lot of energy. It is distinguished by a very developed musculature, medium size and short hair. This breed is also among the most dangerous in the world. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are very active and mobile, so they need daily physical activity.

Nevertheless, this dog, fully trained and well-mannered, is a good companion for the family.

This breed is also one of the potentially dangerous breeds. This is specifically due to their strong bite, strength and ability to defend themselves when they see a threat. If given the right training, the Bull Terrier can be a good, affectionate and playful companion.

4. Rottweiler.

The Rottweiler is one of the oldest breeds in existence, they were used as herding and guard dogs. While it is not as aggressive as a pit bull, its bite is stronger. Another one of the dogs that you need to know how to raise from puppyhood to have a good temperament as an adult. Representatives of this breed have a tendency to lead the pack, so from an early age you should let them know that a human is in charge.
