Taylor Swift has broken Elvis Presley's long-standing record as the most successful solo artist. In total, her album "1989 (Taylor's Version)" has been number one on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart for 68 weeks. While the album of the "King of Rock 'n' Roll" stayed there for 67 weeks.

Despite Swift's success as a solo artist, the absolute record for staying in the Billboard 200 still belongs to The Beatles. Their album held the top spot for 132 non-stop weeks.

During the New Year's Eve week, Taylor's longplay was bought 98 thousand times, mostly as a gift to family and friends. Second place in the Billboard 200 went to Michael Bublé with his 2011 Christmas compilation, and third to Nicki Minaj with "Pink Friday" (2010).
