Prince Harry: 'William and Kate urged me to wear a Nazi uniform'

The still unpublished memoirs of the youngest son of Charles III are gaining scandalous momentum.

Prince Harry claims that Prince William and Kate Middleton are partly to blame for wearing an SS uniform to a costume party in 2005. Sources with access to Harry's unreleased autobiography "Spare" told Page Six that William and Kate were "shouting and laughing" when they saw Harry's risqué outfit. The youngest son of the current British king was then 20 years old, and now he believes that appearing in a Nazi uniform made "one of the biggest mistakes of his life."

As Harry writes in his memoirs, the ill-fated party was dedicated to the theme "Aborigines and colonists." William appeared on it in a lion costume sewn at home. And his younger brother at first could not choose between the suits of a pilot and a Nazi. "I called Willie and Kate and asked what they thought. Nazi uniform," they replied. "They both yelled. Worse than Willie's suit in tights! Much funnier! Which, again, was the goal," Harry recalls.

Since then, he has learned from his mistakes. An influential source close to the publication of "Spare" told Page Six: "It would be strange if you didn't get the idea that Harry doesn't want to take responsibility for the incident and drags his brother into it, but he makes it clear that William's role in this scandal was clear."
