Five professions of men who often appear in divorce in the U.S. revealed
A lawyer from Atlanta made the list and shared it on one of the popular social networks. The post immediately went viral.
On the Chinese social networking site, a divorce lawyer named @Jettiegirl28 rated five male professions that are not easy to build a serious relationship with. She ranked them based on her 10 years of experience as divorce lawyer.
"I've had some very difficult cases in my career and, most shockingly, many of them have involved men from these five professions," reported a user with the initials CC. She was later identified as Katie K. Leonard, founder and managing partner of the Leonard Firm of Atlanta, USA. Her named professions include firefighters, police officers, military personnel, surgeons and pilots.
She also claimed that there are "exceptions" among the professions named, and not all men fall into the trend. But in general, Katie says, such professionals are prone to "narcissism" and "excessive control." "They're much harder to negotiate with in a divorce. They act like, 'Blow up and burn the ground, how dare you challenge me!" she noted.
If we look, we see what they have in common. They're gods in their profession, aren't they?", Leonard rhetorically questioned his followers. "If you're a police officer, you walk down the street with a gun. You are empowered. If you're a surgeon, you walk around the hospital - everyone looks up to you, you're on duty, everyone treats you with respect. And then you go home, and all of a sudden everything changes, somebody asks you to take out the garbage. I think it's hard to adjust to them, the lawyer says.
Meanwhile, pilots, including those who work in the military, take full responsibility when "they have to control the lives of 150-200 people in one flight," the expert says. "And they tend to be narcissistic and hyper-controlling." CC's video has garnered 1.5 million views and 12,400 comments, mostly supporting her point of view. "Universal," reads one of the comments, which garnered 15,000 likes. "Divorced from a surgeon and I can confirm it's true," reads another review with 2,000 likes. Subscribers also suggested continuing Leonard's list and adding clergymen, athletes and investment bankers.
As for women, the Atlanta lawyer warned men against marrying women who are going to have children and stay home even when they are older. "When you divorce these women, they are paralyzed with fear, and they are, because their whole life is about to change dramatically," the lawyer argued. "They don't have a clue about a lot of aspects of the financial side of life and generally what's going on. So they prefer to stick their heads in the sand and procrastinate," Katie continued in the following video, which has garnered 2.9 million views.
