WADA demanded to disqualify Kamila Valieva for 4 years

The decision will be taken by the Lausanne Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has demanded that the Lausanne Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) disqualify Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva for violating anti-doping rules.

As reported on the CAS official website, all results from December 25, 2021, when a positive sample was taken from her, should be cancelled. The figure skater should be stripped of all prizes, medals, and points won since that date, including gold in the team tournament at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The disqualification shall be counted from the effective date of the CAS decision.
