Abdelhamid Sabiri, Hakim Ziyesh and Ashraf Hakimi scored in the penalty shootout, and Badr Banoun's shot was taken by Spanish goalkeeper Unai Simon. For the Red Fury, Pablo Sarabia hit the bar, while Carlos Soler and Sergio Busquets' shots were parried by Moroccan goalkeeper Yassin Bounou.
In the quarterfinals, Morocco will play with Portugal or Switzerland.
