RUSADA Committee finds Kamila Valiyeva innocent in doping case

At the same time, the results of CR-2022 have been revised.

In the doping case involving figure skater Kamila Valiyeva, the RUSADA committee found her not guilty. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has expressed concern about this and has requested a copy of the full reasoned decision of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency.

WADA plans to examine Valiyeva's case in its entirety and determine whether the RUSADA committee's decision complied with the World Anti-Doping Code. WADA has also not ruled out an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

"The agency is concerned about the finding of 'no fault or negligence' and will not hesitate to exercise its right to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport," according to a WADA press release.

It is worth noting that although Valieva was found not guilty by RUSADA, her results at the 2022 World Championships were annulled. As a result, Alexandra Trusova won gold, Anna Scherbakova silver and Adelia Petrosyan bronze.
