Famous cyclist Liuwe Vestra has died at his home in the Netherlands at the age of forty.
Nothing is reported about the causes of death, but according to fragmentary information, it can be assumed that the athlete has recently struggled with a serious illness, which he hid from society.
Vestra, who retired in 2016, is known for his performances for the Vacansoleil‑DCM and Astana teams.
He has bright victories at the stages of the prestigious Paris-Nice, Vuelta Catalunya and Criterium Dauphine races, as well as two won championships of his country.
