Miocic claims Jones-Gan title fight at UFC 285

Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic is hoping for a shot at reclaiming his title this year.

According to the athlete, he is the main contender for a fight with the new heavyweight champion, who will be determined in a fight between Jon Jones and Cyril Gan on March 4 at UFC 285 in Las Vegas.

"We will have a new champion and I hope to get him this July," Miocic wrote on his social networks.

The option of a title fight between Gan and Jones emerged after Francis Ngannou, who did not wish to renew his contract with the league, was stripped of his title.

As for Miocic, it was the Cameroonian who took the heavyweight belt from him, defeating him in March 2021.
