Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev needed less than an hour and a half to send home his opponent in the first round of the Australian Open.
Marcos Giron of the United States was unable to put up a fight for Medvedev in either set. The final score was 6-0, 6-1, 6-2.
In the second round of the main draw, John Millman of Australia will play against the seventh-ranked player of the world.
Previously, a number of Russian participants have already played their matches with varying success. For example, Karen Khachanov also managed to reach the second round.
