Dmitry Bivol commented on the prospects of his fight with Jermall Charlo
There is a chance for a fight, although the Russian is not interested.
WBA bantamweight title-holder Dmitry Bivol has repeatedly said that he is ready to move down or move up to another weight in a situation with an interesting opponent.
Against this background, recently there has been persistent talk that the Russian boxer might face the WBC middleweight champion, undefeated American Jermall Charlo in the future.
According to Bivol, technically and physically such a possibility exists, as these weight classes are not far from each other. Moreover, as the Russian boxer recalled, Charlo once approached him and offered to fight.
"A fight with Charlo? Yes, in theory it's possible. I'm just not interested in it. If he had some belts in the second middle, it would make sense. But without titles, just for a fight with him, I'm not ready to meet him," the athlete explained.
