Boxers under the umbrella of the IBA are allowed to perform with a mustache

True, vegetation on the face has limitations.

The International Boxing Federation decided to allow athletes in the amateur ring to wear a mustache and beard. Previously, facial hair was prohibited.

However, there remained certain restrictions. The mustache and the beard must not exceed ten centimeters in length and the vegetation must not cover the neck.

Many athletes have already approved of this step of the federation. For example, the Asian Games silver medalist from Jordan Odai Al Hindawi said that now he, as a true Muslim, can follow the traditions of his faith and not violate the organization's regulations at the same time.

Earlier, it was thought that boxers' faces had to be shaved so that referees could notice dangerous bruises and cuts in time. By the way, in professional boxing there are no such taboos on facial vegetation.
