Chinese Formula 1 round removed from 2023 season calendar
The canceled tournament will not be transferred to another country.
After it became clear that the Chinese Grand Prix could not be held this season, the organizers of Formula 1 tried to move it to another country.
One of the main contenders for an unscheduled race was called Portugal, where there is quite a decent track.
However, the dates of the competition, announced for April 15, were not satisfied with the Portuguese side, and all the remaining months were busy with other stages.
As a result, the F1 management decided to reduce the 2023 season by one race, and simply crossed the Chinese Grand Prix off the calendar. Now there are twenty-three stages left.
The new Formula 1 season will start with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 5 and end on November 26 in Abu Dhabi.
