Teixeira announces retirement after losing to Hill at UFC 283
The legendary Brazilian is going to become a coach.
In the main event of UFC 283 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian Glover Teixeira was beaten by American Jamal Hill in the fight for the light heavyweight title.
Immediately after the end of the meeting, the fighter announced that he was leaving the octagon. Teixeira later confirmed his intention to end his fighting career.
“My further participation in all this will only harm me. I am honored to end my career on the same card as Mauricio Rua,” said the Brazilian.
According to the athlete, his immediate plans are to join the team of Alex Pereira and help him defend the title. Subsequently, Teixeira did not rule out becoming a coach.
