Named the next possible opponent of Artur Beterbiev

On January 28, the Russian WBC, IBF and WBO champion Artur Beterbiev held a duel in London against Briton Anthony Yarde.

There is still about a week before the fight, and the Russian has already got the next potential opponent.

Mandatory contender for the WBC light heavyweight title Briton Callum Smith has announced his desire to fight Beterbiev this summer.

“I think Beterbiev will confirm his advantage in a duel with Yard, and he will agree to fight me in June, July or August,” said the British boxer.

Now Smith has twenty-nine wins with one defeat. Beterbiev has eighteen wins and zero defeats to his credit.
