Volkanovski names the weight he still needs to lose to fight with Makhachev
The fight is just over three weeks away.
On the night of February 11-12 at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, Russian Islam Makhachev will defend his lightweight title against Alex Wolcanowski.
The Russian fighter is already in Australia with his team actively preparing for the clash.
Volkanovski is also getting ready for the fight, especially since he still has a serious weight competition ahead of him in the remaining weeks. The day before the Aussie revealed how much he still has to lose.
"Not long ago I was 81 kilograms and now I'm 79. I'm getting lighter and lighter but I still have to put on another nine kilos before I can lose 70.3 kilos. That's what I'm doing now," the fighter admitted.
