As it turned out, under the contract, the Kazakhstani athlete had one more fight left under the auspices of the strongest league in the world.
As his manager Sayat Abdrakhmanov explained, this arrangement seems to be an even better option for them.
“Damir will definitely fight this fight because he doesn’t want to leave the UFC on such a note after the defeat. Might as well leave nicer. And we have a good chance for that,” the specialist said.
Ismagulov lost his last fight to the Russian Arman Tsarukyan at the end of last year at the UFC Fight Night 216 tournament, after which he decided to end his career.
