Jiri Prochaska picks up opponent for Jamal Hill to defend UFC title
The former champion is afraid of not returning in the promised time frame.
On January 22, Jamal Hill became the new UFC light heavyweight champion after defeating veteran Glover Teixeira in a title fight.
Former Czech champion Jiří Prochazka, who relinquished his title after suffering an injury, promised Hill to return by the end of the summer and take the belt away from him.
However, the Czech is seriously injured and his return may not be as fast as he would like.
Against this backdrop, Prochazka suggested that Hill might not wait for him and offered him a potential rival.
“If I delay my recovery, Hill can't wait. And the division should not stand still. In this case, I am sure that Anthony Smith deserved the fight for the title, ”said Prochazka.
At the moment, American fighter Anthony Smith occupies the sixth position in the UFC light heavyweight division.
