Anthony Joshua approved the opponent on the third attempt
Until recently, it was not clear with whom the Briton would fight.
Former heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua can finally enter a full-fledged training camp.
In fact, on the third attempt, Jermain Franklin was approved as his rival, with whom the Briton will fight on April 1 at the O2 Arena in London.
Initially, Franklin was supposed to sign a contract for the fight, but then his team allegedly took a time out, and Deontay Wilder appeared on the horizon as a potential opponent.
The American boxer was ready to sign the contract on the move, but Franklin's managers became active again, declaring that the document had been agreed upon.
In the end, Joshua settled on it, although the signing still required one more additional negotiation.
