UFC champion Alex Pereira has decided on an opponent for the next fight
The Brazilian is not against title defense.
On November 12, 2022, at UFC 281 in New York, Brazilian Alex Pereira knocked out New Zealander Israel Adesanya and replaced him at the top of the middle division of the strongest league in the world.
Since then, the new champion has not entered the octagon, although the UFC is preparing a duel for him in one of its tournaments for the spring.
The promotion of potential opponents has not yet been announced, but Pereira himself has already decided on potential opponents.
“I see Adesanya as my closest rival. Firstly, he dominated the division for a long time, so he definitely deserved a revenge. Secondly, I myself want to dissuade all pessimists that the belt came to me by accident,” said the Brazilian fighter.
In the event that Adesanya does not work out in the spring, Pereira would like to fight with Australian Robert Whittaker, who has long been considered second in the division after the New Zealander.
