He played left winger in the NHL for the Chicago Black Hawks (1957-1972), Winnipeg Jets (1979-1980) and Hartford Whalers (1979-1980), as well as for the Winnipeg Jets in the WHA ( 1972-1979). In 1961 he won the Stanley Cup.
In the NHL, Hull played 1,182 games and scored 1,299 points; in the WHA, he scored 471 games and 718 points.
