Last weekend, boxer Artur Beterbiev defended his WBC, WBO and IBF titles by knocking out British Anthony Yarde.
Literally a few hours after the fight, Beterbiev was appointed to defend the WBC belt with mandatory challenger Callum Smith.
As Carl Moretti, vice-president of Top Rank promotional company, explained, the preliminary place and date of this fight have already been agreed.
The venue for the fight is most likely to be Canadian Montreal, and the fight itself is planned to be held in August.
At the moment, Beterbiev's statistics include nineteen victorious fights with zero in the defeat column.
His closest opponent has won twenty-nine times, suffering the only loss to the Mexican Saul Alvarez.
