The athlete is not going to go to the Games in Paris.
Legendary British track and field athlete and four-time Olympic champion Mohammed Farah has said he is likely to retire this year.
“I think this season will be my last. I won’t go to the Paris Olympics in 2024,” the athlete explained.
According to the 40-year-old marathon runner, if you feel like you're no longer in shape and can't win tournaments, it's not interesting to do it just to participate.
Although Farah is going to take part in the London Marathon 2023, since the tournament will be held in front of its spectators. Perhaps the athlete will end his career on it.
The Briton is the owner of four gold medals at the Games in London and Rio de Janeiro - at distances of 5000 and 10000 meters. In addition, Farah won the world championships six times, and won Europe five times.
