Russian striker “Washington Capitals” Alexander Ovechkin said that he sometimes hides his injuries to create difficulties for opponents.
"I often downplay my injuries when I talk about them publicly because I want my opponents to guess," The Athletic quoted him as saying.
Ovechkin added that with this approach, opponents fear him in a power struggle, believing that he is healthy enough.
