Czech striker Jaromir Jagr set a world hockey record for the number of goals in professional leagues and matches for the national team.

The 50-year-old forward of Rytiřej from Kladno scored the 1099th goal in the Czech championship match against Trinec (4:5) and beat Canadian Wayne Gretzky (1098).

Among the leaders in this indicator is the Russian striker Alexander Ovechkin, who has 994 goals in the championship of Russia, the NHL and the national team.
