Ryan Garcia blames Jervonta Davis for the possible disruption of the fight
The title challenger does not like one clause in the contract.
A scheduled April 15 fight between former WBC interim world champion Ryan Garcia (23-0) and WBA regular lightweight champion Jervonte Davis (28-0) is in danger of being canceled.
De La Hoya, the promoter representing Garcia, said Davis' team had inserted an immediate rematch clause into the contract, which was almost agreed upon, in the event of his defeat.
According to the specialist, first of all, it's not in the rules because the rematch is negotiated separately by the parties.
Secondly, the activation of such a button is not foreseen for Garcia in case of his defeat. If Davis doesn't concede at some point, the fight may not take place.
