Seven boxers from Russia reached the final of the tournament in Morocco
For the first time in a long time, the Russians had the opportunity to perform abroad.
The major boxing tournament currently taking place in Morocco for the prizes of King Mohammed VI has become the first international competition for Russians and Belarusians under the auspices of the International Boxing Association (IBA), where they were admitted after the sanctions.
At the same time, it is worth noting an important detail - Russia and Belarus perform without any restrictions, under their own flag and anthem.
Russian boxers perform successfully in their debut tournament after the suspension. On the eve of the sixth competitive day, during which seven of our athletes reached the final at once.
Edmond Khudoyan (weight category up to 48 kg), Tarkhan Idigov (up to 67 kg), Pavel Sosulin (up to 75 kg), Ekaterina Paltseva (up to 50 kg), Natalia Sychugova (up to 63 kg), Anastasia Demurchyan (up to 70 kg) and Saltanat Medenova (up to 81 kg).
