Islam Makhachev evaluated the possibility of the fight with Conor McGregor

Russian UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev is now in Australia, finishing his preparations for his fight against Alex Volkanovski, which will take place in Perth on February 12.
It is clear that there is a lot of attention to the athlete, including from the media. That is why rarely a day passes without an interview.
During another conversation with journalists, Makhachev was asked if their fight with Conor McGregor, who is returning to the promotion this year, could take place.
"People and my fans will be upset if this fight happens. He (Conor) has a lifestyle that is far from righteous. But I never pick my opponents. If the UFC calls me McGregor, I'll be as ready for him as any other opponent," the Russian champion explained.
