Tunisian tennis player Ones Jaber, who is the third racket of the world, spoke about the upcoming surgery.
According to the athlete, the surgery is minor, but her coaches decided to close the issue with an old injury now, so that then nothing will prevent her from performing as the season goes on.
Against this backdrop, Jaber will miss two WTA tournaments in February, in Doha, Qatar, and Dubai, UAE.
"My team decided that I need a little surgery now so I can get back on the courts and perform well. I have to miss the Doha and Dubai tournaments and it breaks my heart," the tennis player wrote on social media.
