Conor McGregor disappointed by UFC decision to fight Chandler at lightweigh
The Irishman's champion dreams melted like smoke.
The day before, UFC head Dana White reversed the original decision to fight Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler in the welterweight division, and scheduled the fight in the lightweight division.
According to insiders, Conor is openly disappointed and even shocked by this event. And there are reasons for that.
First, the former champion in two weight classes, McGregor dreamed of becoming the first champion in three divisions in the history of the promotion.
Secondly, Conor has seriously put on weight during his nearly two-year sabbatical, and he will have to drop more than twenty pounds under lightweight.
And finally, even a win over Chandler, as White explained, does not guarantee the Irishman the right to a title fight.
